I've played on revelation since the 2.1.0 update, but recently I can't seem to connect to even the spawn server. Whats going on? I'll get the (loading terrain ....) bit then crash all the way back to the FTB launcher. Has something changed? Java versions or something?

    Currently running:
    Ubuntu 16.04
OpenJDK 1.8.0 / Java 8 Oracle (tried both)
    FTB launcher
    Revelations 2.1.0

ideas on where to troubleshoot next?

I suppose its worth a try, though I've never had a problem with it before, and with my rig I doubt its that my comp is just taking to long to load, and thus getting kicked. Maybe thats whats happening, but if so, there is almost certainly another problem causing it.

What launcher is that? Closest I see to what your describing is 'Additional Java Parameters' in the 'advanced options' section of options (2nd of 5) tab

This is for windows yes, i don't know how you start it up in Linux, but look for something that you can add additional java parameters in your startup and add '-Dfml.readTimeout=60'
